It's not supposed to be this bad

Sometimes you have to take weather reports with a grain of salt. Liz, her sister Beverly, a friend and I were flying to Beckley, West Virginia to go white water rafting. The reported weather at Beckley was at least five miles visibility and a 3000-foot ceiling. Our en route weather was three miles and 1500 feet. Near Beckley it was even worse. For you pilots, I had to obtain a 'special VFR' to legally approach Beckley.
